At Healing Hooves Idaho, our mission is to foster a love for horses in children while promoting personal growth and teamwork. We believe that the bond between humans and horses can lead to lifelong friendships and valuable life skills.
We pride ourselves on our sense of community. We have a welcoming and inclusive culture and encourage our students to support and encourage one another. We also regularly organize social events and activities for our students to bond and have fun.
Alyssa Antoniuk is the owner and operator of Healing Hooves, a role she has passionately fulfilled since 2015. Her journey with horses began in her hometown of Boise, where she honed her skills in English, Western, and bareback riding.
Alyssa is trained and certified in the Eagala modality of equine therapy, a testament to her dedication to utilizing horses as powerful tools for personal growth and healing. Her extensive experience in riding with several local drill teams, including the Rough Riders (2013-2019) and the Snake River Stampeders (2021/2022), showcases her versatility and commitment to the equestrian community.
Academically, Alyssa holds a Bachelor of Arts in Philosophy with minors in Art and Education from Central Washington University. Her diverse educational background complements her holistic approach to equine therapy and education.
A firm believer in hands-on learning, Alyssa advocates for the transformative power of horses in teaching us about ourselves. Through her work at Healing Hooves, she continues to inspire and support individuals on their personal journeys, using her skills and experiences to foster growth and self-discovery.
Gryffin Antoniuk is a dedicated and accomplished equestrian with a rich background in rodeo and horseback riding. She was a prominent member of the EhCapa Bareback Riders youth drill team, where she participated in the PRCA specialty act from 2019 to 2023. Her passion for horses and rodeo is evident in her active involvement and numerous achievements within the community.
Currently, Gryffin is a senior at Boise State University, pursuing a degree in Biology with a pre-med emphasis. Her academic journey reflects her commitment to excellence and her aspiration to contribute to the medical field in the future.
In addition to her academic pursuits, Gryffin has competed in Mustang Mania in 2019 and 2020, showcasing her exceptional skills and dedication to horse training. Since 2018, she has been imparting her knowledge and passion for horseback riding to others by teaching lessons at Healing Hooves, where she has made a significant impact on her students.
Gryffin also enjoys running sponsor flags at various rodeos around the valley, including the Eagle Rodeo and The Snake River Stampede. Her involvement in these events highlights her deep connection to the rodeo community and her enthusiasm for promoting sponsors and engaging with the audience.
Beyond her horse-related activities, Gryffin is an avid outdoors enthusiast. She can often be found camping, hunting, fishing, and spending quality time with her family. Her diverse interests and strong sense of community make her a well-rounded and inspirational figure in both the equestrian and academic worlds.
